Micropigmentation
What Is Micropigmentation?
Micropigmentation is also known as permanent makeup, cosmetic tattooing, or even permanent cosmetics. Our micropigmentation services improve your skin’s natural coloring, whether it’s for your lips, eyes, eyebrows, or any other area on your body. We can also camouflage or improve the appearance of scars or restore color to any areas that have lost their natural coloring.
What To Expect
Most of our micropigmentation sessions will start with a topical anesthetic to numb the skin and keep you as comfortable as possible. While we use similar equipment and tattoo instruments, the needle will penetrate a bit deeper and inject an iron oxide pigment.
Some micropigmentation sessions take as little as 30 minutes, while others take several hours. It all depends on the area of the body and how much we’re covering. Just as a typical tattoo session depends on the design and your desired look, so do micropigmentation services
Micropigmentation Aftercare
You can expect some redness and minimal swelling after your appointment, just as you would with any other tattoo. Your artist will provide more details on how often you should ice the area and what kind of ointment to use, based on the area we treated. Be sure to follow their instructions closely — they are the expert, after all!
Some people may need more than one treatment to achieve the look they want. It all depends on the area of the body we’re working on and how dramatic your ideal changes will be. Your artist will discuss everything you need to know during your free consultation, so there will be no surprises. We always work with you to develop a plan we are both excited about!
